Maulidur Rasul S.A.W. 2008

This will be my first time to bring the SONY Alpha 200 Digital SLR camera to the crowd public. I do not know what to expect and the outcome of this project. At the same time I do not know what to shoot at and I do not have objective and theme in my mind.

I just snap anything without topic and the most challenge to me is what to snap and why should I take that snap. Along the way to the event I just snap at train, building, flowers, people, posters, etc. And here you will find the poster which I think will bring the memory on the Maulidur Rasul S.A.W. this year.

Tips and Trick - I need a brighter lens, stand and shutter cable. This is simply because of the low light inside the event hall.

Family outing at Zoo Negara, Kuala Lumpur

It was an exciting experience playing with the SONY Alpha 200W as it has the 75-300 standard Zoom lens that comes together with the camera. With this piece of equipment I can snap images which is distant from me. Therefore, in this instance I have taken my family to visit the Zoo Negara, i.e. the National Zoo of Malaysia.

It was a fun day and quit tiring, but we managed to snap lots of animal pictures, at the same time appreciating what SONY Alpha 200W can do for us as well as the capability of 75-300 standard Zoom lens can perform. In overall we satisfy with the items, and wish that in the future to upgrade the item with the better one.

Voting for future Malaysia

Malaysia has conducted her 12th general election on the 8th March 2008. In the photo you can find the picture of a mother and her small kid walking towards the voting place. Along the road side you can see some posters, banners, etc. promoting the respective party campaign.

This year election for Malaysian can be considered as new experience where the controlling party has to accept that changes in their management and governance has to be carried out in order to stay relevant. Having said so, all Malaysia is wishing that through this election and for those who has been elected to be people's representative has to work harder for the Malaysian at large.

Tips and Trick - It would be much better if some adjustment can be made before the shot as the bright sunlight has affected the picture and become a bit over exposed.

Zoom In with 75-300 Lens

Alpha 200W comes with 75-300 Zoom lens, therefore, taking the item into action will one of the main agenda that must be carried out. In this case we have tested our shots on slow moving animals as well static object like plants.

At the same time we also would like to see the result of the picture taken with this lens. In our case all shots were taken under the bright sunlight, in turn produces a sharp and crisp images. In short we like these photos very much and would like to share them with our fan.

The shown photo is a flower of wild tree, which grown in our Kampung (village).

Tips and Trick - It will be very much better if you could bring along your camera stand when taking Zoom Lens shots or else you will get blur images.

First photo shot with SONY Alpha 200W

The picture shown is one of our shots with the new SONY Alpha 200W DSLR camera. We were fortunate because one of our son is celebrating his birthday, where we brought the family members to the Lake Garden for a picnic cum trial photo session.

Since all of us is newbie with this A200W, then my wife has taken the lead to explore her creativity in photography and art sense. The photo shown is the birthday boy and he is now 6 years old. The candid photo may tells that he foresee his future through the tunnel at the playground nearby.
